Texas Pickleball Classic Serves Up Hope: The Gold Ribbon Rally for Kids Battling Cancer

The Addi’s Faith Gold Ribbon Pickleball Classic will take place from July 18, 2025, to July 20, 2025, at The Pickleball Zone on 22056 West Ford Road in Porter, Texas. This pickleball event will raise funds for Addi’s Faith Foundation, a group supporting children with cancer and funding research to help find a cure.

Players can register for $65 until July 11, 2025, at 5:00 p.m. Central Standard Time. The tournament will include different events across three days.

Supporting Pediatric Cancer Research

Addi’s Faith Foundation helps families dealing with childhood cancer and supports research at MD Anderson Cancer Center. The group believes that working together will lead to better treatments and, one day, a cure. With only 4% of federal funding going toward pediatric cancer research, fundraising events like this tournament are important.

Tournament Schedule and Format

On Friday, there will be Senior Men’s, Senior Women’s, and Senior Mixed Doubles starting at 2:00 p.m. These are the only events approved by the United States Senior Pickleball organization.

Saturday will have Men’s Doubles and Women’s Doubles. Sunday will feature Mixed Doubles matches. Games may begin as early as 8:00 a.m. Organizers will share a tentative schedule a week before the event and confirm it after registration closes.

Every team will play at least four matches. The format will start with pool play and move to single elimination. The gold medal match will be best of three games.

Player Ratings and Brackets

Players can self-rate to make it easier to pair up with others for this charity event. However, the tournament director may move players to a different level if teams are not evenly matched.

Brackets will include Beginner (2.5), Intermediate (3.0 and 3.5), and Advanced (4.0+) levels. Players must stay in the correct skill range.

If one player signs up for doubles and their partner does not register within seven days, that team will move to the waitlist. Spots are only held if both players register and pay on time.

Charitable Donations and Refunds

The event does not offer refunds. All payments will be treated as donations to Addi’s Faith Foundation. This money will help fund research and provide relief to families with a child fighting cancer.

News in Brief: Addi’s Faith Gold Ribbon Pickleball Classic

The Addi’s Faith Gold Ribbon Pickleball Classic will run July 18–20, 2025, in Porter, Texas, to support pediatric cancer research. The tournament includes singles and doubles events.
