Tanner Tomassi Reveals the Surprising Shortcut to Mastering Pickleball Faster

Tanner Tomassi Pickleball Improvement Tips: Pickleball player Tanner Tomassi has shared a simple way for players to improve their game quickly. In a recent video, Tanner Tomassi explained that asking friends for honest feedback is a faster way to get better at pickleball than practicing alone or guessing your own mistakes.

Tanner Tomassi said players often spend time playing and drilling with the same group of friends. Because of this, everyone in the group already knows each other’s strengths and weaknesses.

“You know all of their weaknesses and all of their strengths. So, you can formulate a game plan with your partner to destroy them because you know their game,” Tanner Tomassi said.

Asking for Direct Feedback

He explained that this information can be very useful if players share it with each other. By simply asking friends what they see from across the net, players can find out exactly what is making them predictable or weak.

“We need to use that to our advantage when we’re practicing and ask our friends, ‘What about my game do you see when you’re playing against me that makes me weak? What do I do on the other side of the net that makes you feel comfortable? Do I not take enough balls out of the air? Do I step back on my dinks? Tell me what makes me weak,’” he said.

Sharing Makes Everyone Better

Tanner Tomassi also encouraged players not to keep this information secret. Instead, they should help their friends improve by telling them what makes their play easy to handle.

“Instead of gatekeeping that information, share with your friends who you want to see improve exactly what they do on the other side of the net that gives you comfort. Tell them this and now they can actually know what they need to focus on to improve their game,” he said.

He pointed out that most players never get direct advice about their flaws and end up trying to guess what they need to fix.

“The way it usually goes is we have our group of friends that we constantly play against, but nobody directly tells us what our flaw is,” Tanner Tomassi said.

Simple Change With Big Results

This approach can help players progress much faster. Instead of spending months figuring out what they are doing wrong, they can get clear answers right away. This helps them make quick improvements and build better strategies for tournaments.

By working together and giving honest feedback, players can help each other grow and enjoy the game even more.
