Danny Jensen Brings Pickleball Overseas: Pro pickleball player Danny Jensen dedicates time to visiting U.S. military bases overseas to teach and promote pickleball. Alongside fellow players Taylor Garcia, Courtney McIntosh, and Courtney Kendall, he completed two tours across multiple countries to bring the sport and joy to service members.
International Tours Reach Military Bases
In December, Jensen and the team spent 14 days visiting bases in the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Qatar, Kuwait, and Djibouti. In March, they toured again for 23 days, stopping in England, Turkey, Germany, Italy, Kosovo, and North Macedonia.

Jensen said, “I think it’s about the best way I can possibly give back with the sport of pickleball, especially to our military, especially on the other side of the world.” Clinics and matches were held to teach the game and engage service members.

“A lot of these military bases are actually creating their own pickleball groups,” Jensen explained. He described how players on bases use everything from gym floors to parking lots as courts, showing strong enthusiasm for the sport.

Jensen emphasized the importance of giving troops a healthy outlet and time away from daily stress. Before leaving, he motivates the players to keep playing and growing pickleball within the military.
