“Everything happens for a reason, and I’ll always hold him dear to my heart. We played together for a long time. We were able to win together and lose together, and you learn so much about someone going through all of that. And the fact that we can share that with each other is such a cool story. “We’ve had times where I was overwhelmed and he was always there to tell me ‘You’re going to be okay, I’m here for you.’ It was a relationship at a time that we both really needed. We were such a support system for each other that I couldn’t imagine my life with him not on the road.”
