IAPPF and Mindspring Padel Partnership: The International Association of Pickleball and Padel Facilities (IAPPF) has announced Mindspring Padel as its official sponsor. This partnership will help grow padel courts in the United States and other countries through shared knowledge, funding support, and community building.
Supporting Growth Through Collaboration
Mindspring Padel, based in Belgium and operating globally, offers full financing for court construction. Its model allows sports clubs to build padel courts without any upfront cost. In return, Mindspring earns part of the usage or membership fees.
“This partnership will accelerate the growth of padel facilities worldwide and promote seamless integration of padel alongside pickleball in multi-racquet venues,”
said David Johnson, Chief Executive Officer of the International Association of Pickleball and Padel Facilities.
Helping Clubs Learn and Expand
The collaboration will offer learning tools like webinars, conference talks, and advisory help. These resources will support clubs in setting up and running padel courts.
“Our company was founded on the simple belief that tennis and padel are friends. We now see that this extends to pickleball—especially in the U.S.,”
said Anton Brams, Chief Executive Officer of Mindspring Padel.
“Joining IAPPF ensures we’re engaging the right audience to learn, network, and contribute to this movement.”
Padel’s Fast Global Rise
According to the Playtomic Global Padel Report 2025, more than 3,280 new padel clubs opened worldwide in 2024—an average of nine per day. That brings the total number of padel courts to over 50,000, with a forecast of 81,000 by 2027.
In the U.S. alone, 352 new courts were added in 2024. Florida, Texas, and California are leading this trend. Research by the International Association of Pickleball and Padel Facilities shows that around 70 U.S. pickleball clubs now include padel courts, up from only 5% the year before.
What’s Ahead for the Industry
The International Association of Pickleball and Padel Facilities has grown to serve both racquet sports. It connects club owners, suppliers, and investors through events, tools, and training.
Upcoming events include a regional meetup in Chicago on July 18 and the IAPPF International Conference and Expo in Austin on October 2-3. These events will highlight how pickleball and padel can grow together.
