Asia Pickleball University Championship 2025: The Asia Federation of Pickleball (AFP) hosted the first-ever Asia Pickleball University Championship 2025 in Da Nang, Vietnam. The event took place over four days and brought together university students, alumni, and staff from eight countries. India won the championship and will represent Asia at the Collegiate World Championships in Dallas, USA, from October 31 to November 2, 2025.

Eight Countries Unite for a Major Collegiate Event
Players from Japan, Indonesia, Korea, Chinese Taipei, Malaysia, Brunei, India, and Vietnam joined the tournament. It was the first time so many college-level players came together in Asia for pickleball. The event opened with a colorful ceremony celebrating sports, unity, and culture.
India Wins the University Team Challenge
The main event was the University Team Challenge. Teams competed not just for pride but for a chance to play globally. India became the champion, showing strong skill and teamwork. Chinese Taipei finished second with an impressive performance.
Both India and Chinese Taipei earned the “Golden Ticket” to the Collegiate World Championships in Dallas, USA. There, they will compete with top student-athletes from around the world from October 31 to November 2, 2025.
A Festival of Friendship and Fun
Beyond the matches, the tournament was a place for fun and friendship. Players enjoyed meeting each other and sharing experiences.

Training Referees for the Future
The AFP also held a Referee and Game Marshall Workshop during the event. A total of 52 people joined to learn the rules and become future referees. This training helps build a strong foundation for upcoming events across the continent.
