Quang Duong Unveils $50,999 Winner-Takes-All Pickleball Showdown in Vietnam—Fans to Pick Host City

Quang Duong Vietnam Pickleball Tournament: Vietnamese pickleball star Quang Duong has announced a high-stakes men’s singles tournament set to take place in Vietnam this September. The top prize will be $50,999.99 USD in a winner-takes-all format. The event will also feature an amateur men’s category with a prize pool of around $5,000 USD.

Free Agent Plans Major Event

Despite the recent end of his contract with the United Pickleball Association, Quang Duong, 19, appears focused on growing the sport in Asia. The tournament will be held in his home country, and he has opened a poll asking fans to help choose between Hanoi, Danang, Nha Trang, or Ho Chi Minh City as the host city.

Prize Details and Participation

The event will include two men’s divisions—one for professionals and one for amateurs. Quang Duong made the announcement via social media, stating:

“Hello pickleballers world wide. Hello single specialists, hello All bangers, hello all one dimensional players. We are going to have Single tournament in Vietnam in September. Men’s Pro open $50,999.99 USD winner take all, and Amateur Open which will announce prize money about $5000 USD,” Duong wrote.

He added that the tournament is currently for men only but may expand to include women’s matches if there is enough interest.

“We are not sure if there are enough interest in women pro open so voice yourself in the comment,” Duong added.

Call for Community Input

Quang Duong also asked fans to help decide the location:

“Which city would you like to see it happens, Hanoi, Danang, Nha Trang or Ho Chi Minh city. Tell us in the comments so we can plan it accordingly,” Quang Duong added.

He ended the post by encouraging people to visit Vietnam and join the event:

“All are welcome to see beautiful Vietnam and collect the biggest single prize money.”
