PPA Tour Women’s Doubles Semifinals: On September 12, 2025, the PPA Tour’s Veolia Cincinnati Showcase presented by Six Zero hosted its women’s doubles quarterfinals in Mason, Ohio. Four teams—Tyra Hurricane Black with Jorja Johnson, Anna Bright with Anna Leigh Waters, Jade Kawamoto with Jackie Kawamoto, and Parris Todd with Catherine Parenteau—moved into the semifinals after straight-game wins.

Black and Johnson Grind Out First Win

Tyra Hurricane Black and Jorja Johnson faced a tough start against Kate Fahey and Tina Pisnik. The opening game was tight, but Black and Johnson held steady to take it 11-9. Anna Bright and Anna Leigh Waters showed why they are among the most dominant duos in women’s doubles. They overpowered Kaitlyn Christian and Jessie Irvine in two quick games. Kawamoto Sisters Showcase Steady Teamwork

Jade Kawamoto and Jackie Kawamoto played with strong chemistry against Lea Jansen and Rachel Rohrabacher. They jumped ahead quickly with an 11-1 win in the first game. Although Jansen and Rohrabacher fought harder in the second, the Kawamotos stayed composed and closed it 11-8 to move into the semifinals.

Parris Todd and Catherine Parenteau wrapped up the quarterfinal round with another straight-games win. They met Brooke Buckner and Chao Yi Wang, who battled hard but struggled to keep up. Todd and Parenteau earned an 11-6 win in the first game and sealed the match with an 11-4 finish in the second.
