2025 US Senior Pickleball Championship: The 2025 US Senior Pickleball National Championship Presented by Humana will take place from December 5 to 8 at Pictona in Holly Hill, Florida. The event is designed for players ages 50 and older, giving senior athletes a chance to compete in a fun, fair, and community-focused environment.
A Tournament Made for Seniors
The United States Senior Pickleball (USSP) organization created this championship to celebrate players 50 and above. It is the only national pickleball event built exclusively for seniors, with divisions in five-year age brackets from 50+ to 80+. Players will compete in a round-robin format that guarantees multiple matches for everyone.
Last year’s championship in Arizona drew 629 players from 32 states and Canada. Organizers expect 850 to 1,000 players this year. Karen Thomas, Director of Marketing for US Senior Pickleball, said,
“The US Senior Pickleball National Championship is by far the best national championship for players age 50-85+, designed specifically for players who prefer to compete with others their age in a round robin format, and not pay unreasonable registration costs.”
About the United States Senior Pickleball
US Senior Pickleball is a not-for-profit group dedicated to enriching the lives of older athletes through the sport. Membership costs $20 a year and provides benefits such as a $10 discount on tournament entries and access to free or low-cost clinics, round robins, and open play sessions.

Championship Venue and Features
The tournament will be held at Pictona, a world-class facility with 49 courts, including 13 covered courts and a 1,200-seat championship stadium. Located near Daytona Beach, the venue offers restaurants, concessions, and plenty of areas to relax between matches, making it a true pickleball vacation.
Special Pro Demonstration
This year’s event will feature a Pro Demonstration with senior pro and coach Dayne Gingrich and Jill Martin, known as the “Pickleball Yogi.” The two co-authors of The Pickleball Mindset will lead a five-hour session on mental strategies and on-court tactics tailored to senior athletes. Tickets cost $25 and are free for USSP Ambassadors.
