Collegiate Super Regional Pickleball Showdown: The first Collegiate Super Regional of the 2025 pickleball season is set to kick off this weekend at The Picklr Kaysville in Utah. Top college teams from across the West will compete for early-season bragging rights and bids to the national stage, promising fast-paced matches and fierce rivalries.

Teams and Players Ready for Action

Seven schools will battle for the crown: University of Utah, Utah Valley University, University of Southern California, Utah Tech University, Southern Utah University, Brigham Young University, and Utah State University. Each program brings skilled players, making every match critical for shaping the season ahead.

Utah Tech University stands out with several top-ranked players. Leading the men’s side are Clayton Boydston (DUPR 5.881), Liam Duffin (DUPR 5.835), and Charles Case of Utah Valley University (DUPR 5.741). On the women’s side, Utah Tech University also boasts standout athletes, including Ella Boydston (DUPR 5.472), Lauren Mercado (DUPR 5.386), and Mary Monson (DUPR 5.116). These names are expected to be central to the weekend’s most intense matches.

Contenders to Watch

Preseason buzz places Utah Tech University, Utah Valley University, and Brigham Young University as early favorites. Utah Tech University is loaded with talent on both the men’s and women’s rosters.
