Xiaomi Presents A Robot That Detects Emotions

Xiaomi introduced its first full-size humanoid robot developed by Xiaomi Robotics Lab . He is 1.77 meters tall, weighs 52 kg, and is capable of detecting human emotions . Its head hides a circular OLED panel behind which some of the sensors that guide its movements are concealed.

The company’s CEO, Lei Jun, explained that the development of this robot is ” a symbol of Xiaomi’s dedication to incubate a centralized technological ecosystem and connect it with the world in ways never seen before “.

The robot recognizes 85 types of environmental sounds and identifies up to 45 classifications of human emotions.

Its design, in black and white tones, has the ability to perceive 3D space and recognize individuals, gestures and expressions.

As for its estimated price, as a reference, the brand suggests that it could reach 86,000 dollars (more than 364 million Colombian pesos).
