United Pickleball State Championship: As the excitement builds for the first United Pickleball State Championship (UPSC), all eyes are on which state will emerge as the pinnacle of pickleball skills. Scheduled from August 23 to August 25, 2024, this groundbreaking series of tournaments will stretch across all 50 states, resulting in a nationwide showdown. Gold Medalists from each state will secure automatic invitations to the year-end United States Championship in Dallas, TX, with all event fees waived, adding prestige and incentive to the competition.

Tournament Details

The UPSC offers a variety of divisions to cater to different skill levels and age groups:

  • Skill Levels: 3.0, 3.5, 4.0, 4.5, 5.0
  • Age Groups: 18U, 19+, 35+, 50+, 60+, 70+
  • Playing Divisions: MD, WD, MXD, MS, WS

Players will use their “World Pickleball” rating (WPR) or “Pickleball Brackets” rating (PBR), with self-rating as a last resort. The tournament format includes round-robin play with playoffs, ensuring a comprehensive competitive experience.

Venue and Additional Information

The championship will be held at The Premier Pickleball Club in Redmond, Oregon. This indoor facility features 18 courts with a tennis hardcourt surface, air conditioning, and portable nets. Players should note that parking is free, but overnight parking is not permitted. The ball used will be the Franklin X40, ensuring a standard and high-quality playing experience.
