Noe Khlif Emerges as the Rising Star Everyone is Talking About in Pickleball

Noe Khlif Emerges as the Rising Star: The Miami Pickleball Club (MPC) is excited to welcome its newest member, Noe Khlif, who brings an impressive journey and competitive spirit to the team. Hailing from France, Noe’s passion for pickleball has propelled him into the spotlight, and his recent draft into Major League Pickleball (MLP) marks a significant milestone in his burgeoning career.

From France to the Court: A Journey of Discovery

Noe’s journey began in an unexpected setting— a local gym in Chicago. While living there, he stumbled upon pickleball being played indoors on a basketball court. Intrigued by the sport, he thought to himself, “What the hell is this?” After trying it for the first time, he was immediately hooked. “I tried it and loved it!” he recalls, highlighting the initial social appeal of the game.

What started as a casual pastime soon evolved into a deeper commitment. Noe initially played for fun but soon found himself yearning for the competitive thrill that tournaments offered. “At first, I was just playing for fun. Then I was missing competing, so I decided to start playing a couple of tournaments,” he explained. As he gained confidence, his interest in pursuing a professional path intensified. “The sport started exploding, so I became interested in trying to play the professional circuit. Now I can’t imagine my life without pickleball,” he shared, underscoring the profound impact the sport has had on his life.

Memorable Moments and Competitive Highlights

Noe has already accumulated a wealth of memorable experiences in his relatively short career. One standout moment occurred during the Utah PPA tournament. Despite feeling unwell and contemplating withdrawal, he persevered and achieved an impressive upset, beating notable players like Dylan Frazier and Jay Devilier. “I ended up making the quarterfinals,” he said, reflecting on the match that tested his limits. Additionally, he reached the quarterfinals in doubles and faced off against the Johns brothers for the first time on Center Court, a thrilling experience he won’t soon forget.

His excitement didn’t stop there. Noe also expressed pride in being drafted by the Miami team for MLP. “I was very excited when I got the news I got drafted. That was one of my goals this season,” he stated. The journey has not only allowed him to showcase his skills but also to share the spotlight with his girlfriend, whom he qualified to compete with in the Mixed Pro Main Draw during their first PPA event together.

Major League Pickleball: New Challenges and Opportunities

Joining Major League Pickleball has been a significant step in Noe’s career. “It’s fun to compete as a team against the best players out there,” he stated, embracing the thrill of the new competitive environment. However, he also acknowledged the challenges that come with it. “Getting used to the format and atmosphere was the most challenging,” he explained, recognizing the learning curve involved in adapting to MLP’s unique structure.

As he delves deeper into the league, Noe finds motivation in the competitive spirit of his teammates. “It’s exciting to be part of a team because you are playing for something bigger than yourself. It gives additional motivation,” he remarked. The camaraderie among teammates has helped him adjust, and he is eager to contribute to the team’s success as they aim for the top in the league standings.

Training Regimen: Balancing Work and Passion

This balancing act can be challenging, but it has shaped his commitment to the sport. “I usually hit the gym early in the morning before work and try to drill after work,” he detailed, sharing the effort required to fit training into his busy schedule.

As he prepares to transition to full-time pickleball training starting July 20th, Noe’s enthusiasm is palpable. “I’m excited about the idea to be able to train more,” he shared, anticipating the opportunities that come with dedicated practice. His determination is evident in his current DUPR ratings—6.333 in Doubles and 6.579 in Singles—showing that his efforts are paying off.

Inspirations and Future Goals

Every athlete has inspirations that fuel their ambition, and for Noe, Rafael Nadal has been a significant influence. “My idol growing up was Rafael Nadal. I love the way he competes and fights on every point,” he expressed. The tenacity and mental strength that Nadal embodies resonate with Noe as he navigates his path in pickleball.

With his eyes set firmly on the future, Noe has lofty aspirations. “I want to win gold medals in Singles and Doubles on different pro tour events, and of course, win MLP,” he affirmed, signaling his ambition to reach the pinnacle of the sport.
