Prize Money Surge: A Game-Changer for Players

In a significant boost for players, PWR has announced a dramatic increase in the prize money for the league, which now totals $645,000, up from the previously stated $540,000. This increase reflects the league’s commitment to supporting players, particularly those not initially drafted into the Premier League, enhancing the overall competitiveness of the tournament.

“As our league grows, we’re excited to announce that the 36 players who don’t get drafted into the Premier PWR DUPR Indian League will get selected into the Challenger teams.”-(pwr official statement)

These Challenger teams will be owned by the same franchisees as the Premier League, creating a seamless connection between the two tiers of competition. In a generous offering, 30 players from these teams will receive $2,500 each, while the six players from the victorious Challenger team will take home $5,000 each.

This substantial increase in prize money ensures that all 60 players from the shortlist will have the chance to compete in the league, building an environment that highlights the league’s growth and dedication to player development.
