The Center’s Rally in the Rockies tournament is scheduled for January 4-5, 2025, at the Calgary Pickleball Center in Calgary, Alberta. The event will feature men’s and women’s doubles on January 4 and mixed doubles on January 5. Players will compete in a round-robin format, aiming for a spot in the playoffs.
Tournament Format and Schedule
The tournament will consist of a round-robin format for all brackets. The top eight teams in each division will move on to the playoffs. If a bracket has two pools, the top four teams from each pool will advance.
In round-robin play, teams will accumulate between 60 and 90 total points. For example, in a pool of six teams, each team will play one set to 15 points, totaling 75 points. In a pool of eight teams, each set will go to 11 points, totaling 77 points.
Playoff formats may vary depending on the number of teams entered. The tournament director reserves the right to alter the schedule as necessary.

- Quarterfinals: One game to 15 points, win by 2
- Semi-Finals: One game to 15 points, win by 2
- Bronze Medal Match: One game to 15 points, win by 2
- Gold Medal Match: Best of 3 to 11 points, win by 2
Entry Fees and Bracket Information
The entry fee for the tournament is $54.95 per player, which includes participation in one event and a Tournament Entry Package that features a T-shirt and a ball. Players wishing to enter a second event can do so for an additional fee of $39.95.
Bracket classifications are based on player ratings, with specific ratings for each skill level:
- 2.5 Bracket: Up to a rating of 2.99
- 3.0 Bracket: Up to a rating of 3.49
- 3.5 Bracket: Up to a rating of 3.99
- 4.0 Bracket: Up to a rating of 4.49
Refund Policy and Venue Details
Participants wishing to withdraw must do so by December 31, 2024, to receive a refund, subject to a $15 administration fee. After this date, refunds will only be considered for extenuating circumstances.
The tournament will be held at the Calgary Pickleball Center, located at 1145 65 Ave N.E, Calgary, Alberta. The facility features indoor hardcourt surfaces and 12 courts for play. The tournament will use Selkirk Pro S1 balls, and parking is free.
Additional parking is available on the north side of 65th Ave, but participants are advised not to park in the Cat/Finning Parking Lot. The Rally in the Rockies tournament promises exciting competition, showcasing talented players in the heart of Calgary.
