Kingston Open Pickleball Tournament: Pickleball players, get ready for the next big tournament! The Kingston Open, the third stop on the 2025 True North Pickleball Tour, is set to take place from March 21 to March 23, 2025, at the world-class Kingston Pickleball Club. With 220 players expected to compete, this event offers a prime opportunity to qualify for the prestigious Tour Championship.
Tournament Schedule & Divisions
- Friday, March 21: Men’s & Women’s Doubles (50+, 65+)
- Saturday, March 22: Mixed Doubles (Skill/Age-Based)
- Sunday, March 23: Men’s & Women’s Doubles (16+, 35+)
This round-robin tournament will feed into a single-elimination medal round, while Open events will follow a double-elimination format with prize money awarded to medalists.
Registration Details
- Registration Fee: CAD 70.00 per player
- Registration Opens: January 18, 2025, at 8:00 AM EST
- Registration Closes: March 14, 2025, at 10:00 PM EST
- Venue: Kingston Pickleball Club, 1150 Gardiners Road, Kingston, ON
- Ball Used: Franklin X-40 (Official ball of the True North Pickleball Tour)
Each player must register and pay individually, and spots are not secure until both partners are fully registered and paid.
Tournament Format & Rules
- 5-minute warm-up before the first match; 2-minute warm-up for all subsequent matches.
- Matches will follow official pickleball rules, but this is not a Pickleball Canada sanctioned event.
- Players may play up in skill, but the tournament director reserves the right to move teams if they are not competitive.
- Matches will be officiated where possible, with a focus on medal matches.
- Events may start as late as 6 PM based on scheduling needs.
