Pickleball Manitoba Provincial Championships 2025 Set to Deliver Intense Competition

The 2025 Pickleball Manitoba Provincial Championships will take place from May 29 to June 1, 2025, at the Dakota Community Center in Winnipeg. The event, hosted by Peak Performance Pickleball, is open to Manitoba residents and members of the Kenora Pickleball Club.

Tournament Details

The tournament will feature multiple events including Mixed Doubles, Women’s Doubles, Men’s Doubles, Women’s Singles, Men’s Singles, and Junior categories. The competition will follow a round-robin format with games played to 11 points, win by 2, and no cap. Semi-finals will be played to 15 points, and the medal matches will be best two-out-of-three games to 11 or 15 points, depending on the category.

This is a Pickleball Canada-sanctioned Tier II tournament, with eligibility for skill levels 3.0 to 5.0. Players competing in skill levels 3.0, 3.5, 4.0, and 4.5 must be members of both Pickleball Canada and Pickleball Manitoba. Players in the 5.0 category need only be Pickleball Canada members.

Registration Information

Registration opens on March 19, 2025, at 4:00 PM CST and ends on May 12, 2025, at 11:00 PM CST. The registration fee is CAD 75. Early bird pricing is available until April 19 for CAD 75, with an additional CAD 25 per event. After April 19, the registration fee will increase to CAD 85 plus CAD 25 per event. Players must complete registration online, where they can also add their Pickleball Canada membership details.

Event Format and Skill Level Ratings

The tournament will feature a range of skill levels, from beginners to advanced players, with divisions based on ratings. Players’ Canadian Tournament Player Ratings (CTPR) will determine their skill level. Those without a CTPR will use their self-assessment rating.

Volunteers and Officiating

The tournament is also seeking volunteers. Interested individuals can sign up online for various duties, with the event benefiting from volunteer support. Officials will be available for medal matches, and players are encouraged to volunteer as referees.

Refund Policy

Cancellations can be made until May 12, 2025, with a full refund, minus a CAD 25 administration fee. After this date, no refunds will be provided.

Venue and Parking

This pickleball event will take place at the Dakota Community Center, located at 1188 Dakota St, Winnipeg. The venue offers free parking for all attendees.
