The 4th Annual Smash into Summer tournament will take place from May 9-11, 2025, in Brandon, Manitoba. This pickleball event will be held at Henry Champ Gymnasium, with matches also scheduled at South Gymnasium. Tournament Format and Registration Details
The tournament will follow a round-robin format with a playoff round. Players can compete in singles, doubles, and mixed divisions. To participate, all players must be members of Pickleball Canada. Registration is available exclusively through Pickleball Brackets.
Teams must complete registration within five days to secure their spot. Incomplete teams will be placed on a waiting list. An additional fee of CAD 14.20 will be charged for online processing.
Facilities, Equipment, and Additional Features
Players will compete on nine indoor courts with a hardwood gym floor. The official tournament ball will be the orange Onix Fuse Indoor Ball. Washrooms, change rooms, and water refill stations will be available at the venue.
The first 200 registered participants will receive a free t-shirt. Players must use USA Pickleball-approved paddles. Youth players are required to wear protective eyewear, and all participants are encouraged to do the same.
Officiating, Score Reporting, and Volunteer Opportunities
Referees will be assigned to medal rounds, with fees ranging from CAD 5 to CAD 10 depending on certification level. Players are responsible for confirming their scores at the draw desk, as incorrect entries will not be adjusted later. Volunteer opportunities will be available, and interested individuals can sign up before public slots are announced.
Refund Policy and Parking Information
Cancellations before April 23 will be subject to a CAD 25 administrative fee. No refunds will be issued after this date, except for injury cases reviewed by the tournament committee. Parking is free after 4:30 PM on Friday; before that, there is a fee for the East parking lot.
