The Guelph Open Pickleball Tournament will take place from June 6 to June 8, 2025, at Real Pickleball Guelph in Ontario. This event is part of the True North Pickleball Tour and will feature multiple divisions for players of all ages and skill levels.
Tournament Details
This Pickleball Canada-sanctioned event (pending) will use the CTPR system to determine player rankings, and results will feed into players’ DUPR ratings. Players must have a current Pickleball Canada membership to participate, and their membership number must be entered on pickleballtournaments.com.
The tournament will offer a variety of events, including men’s and women’s doubles in different age groups: 50+, 60+, and 70+ divisions. Mixed doubles will be played in age groups of 19+, 35+, 50+, 60+, and 70+.
The event will also feature open divisions for men’s and women’s doubles, as well as senior open mixed doubles. Open events with six or more teams will use a double-elimination format with prize money on the line. Other events will be played in a round-robin format with a single-elimination medal round and a bronze medal game.
Registration and Fees
Registration opens on April 1, 2025, and ends on May 31, 2025. The entry fee is CAD 70. Players must ensure both partners in doubles events are registered and paid to guarantee their spot in the tournament.
Prize Money and Tournament Format
The open divisions will feature prize money, and all matches will be officiated as much as possible. The official ball of the tournament is the Franklin X40, used for all matches. The tournament director reserves the right to combine events if necessary, and matches may begin as late as 5 PM.
Refund Policy
Full refunds minus a $10 administration fee will be available until May 31, 2025. No refunds will be issued after that date, even in cases of injury, illness, or other unforeseen circumstances.
