The Town of Georgina is celebrating the arrival of spring with a lineup of fun activities — and pickleball takes center stage. The Georgina Cup Pickleball Tournament returns on Sunday, April 27, offering residents and visitors an exciting opportunity to showcase their skills in one of Canada’s fastest-growing sports.
Tournament Details: How to Join the Action
The Georgina Cup Pickleball Tournament will be held at the Multi-Use Recreation Complex (MURC) from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. The tournament will include multiple divisions to ensure all players have a chance to compete, including:

Players can participate in one division for $50, or enter two divisions for $75 (maximum of two per person). Registration must be completed in person at MURC, and spots are limited — so early sign-up is encouraged.

In addition to the pickleball tournament, Georgina will host an Easter egg hunt in the pool on Saturday, April 19 at two locations:

Beyond pickleball, Georgina is offering residents a range of spring programs and summer camps, now open for registration at georgina.ca/recreation.
A Georgina Rec Pass provides unlimited access to activities including drop-in fitness, open gym, swimming, and skating. An upgraded Rec Pass+ program is also in the works, adding cardio and strength equipment access.
Climate Change Talk and More Local Events
Award-winning journalist and author Gwynne Dyer will give a free public lecture on climate change at the Stephen Leacock Theatre of Performing Arts on April 22 at 7 p.m. Registration is encouraged at georgina.ca/SLT.
The ROC (Recreational Outdoor Campus) opens in May, offering outdoor activities, camps, and events for all ages. Meanwhile, the Stephen Leacock Theatre is planning a new lineup of tribute bands and musicals for the 2025-26 season.
