Discover Windsor’s New Pickleball Paradise: A Social Hub for All Ages

Windsor’s New Pickleball Paradise: Pickleplex Social Club has opened a new indoor facility in east Windsor at 1950 Lauzon Road. The 18,000-square-foot space includes six pickleball courts and event rooms. The club offers open play, lessons, and tournaments for players of all levels, aiming to build a strong, active community.

A New Hub for Pickleball Enthusiasts

The new Windsor location celebrated its grand opening Friday. It is the third Pickleplex Social Club in Ontario, with five more set to launch this summer. The club’s mission is to bring people together through pickleball and create a place for social and competitive play.

“Pickleplex is an inclusive community for people who love to play pickleball,” said Gina Facca, chief operating officer of Pickleplex Social Club and co-owner/operator of the Windsor venue, during a grand opening celebration on Friday.

At 18,000 square feet, the facility has six dedicated pickleball courts, two ping-pong and cornhole areas, and a party room for birthday celebrations and corporate events. The pickleplex is also fully licensed.

Programs, Pricing, and Amenities

Pickleplex offers a wide range of activities, including social open play, skill-based sessions, league play, clinics, and tournaments. Trained coaches are available to help new players learn the sport. For non-members, the cost is $12.50 per hour. Members get a 50 percent discount and can book courts in advance.

“We really are going to be the social hub of the community,” Facca said. “There are so many people out there that want to know what pickleball is but have never had the opportunity to play. We are the place to be.”

Support from the Community

Local leaders praised the club’s arrival. Ward 8 Coun. Gary Kaschak, who represents east Windsor, welcomed the new addition and the opportunities it brings to the area.

“This is what we want in the community,” Kaschak said. “The city can’t provide everything. This is one of the fastest-growing sports in the area — get away from those computers and those phones and get out here and stay active.”

A Growing Sport with Room to Expand

With indoor courts, event space, and full licensing, the Windsor Pickleplex is more than just a place to play. It is helping to grow the sport in the region and give residents a place to stay active and connect. The future expansion of Pickleplex suggests a rising demand for pickleball in Ontario.
