Soo Pickleball Scores Vital AED Donation from Tenaris

Soo Pickleball’s AED Donation: Players at Soo Pickleball can now feel safer during games and tournaments thanks to a new life-saving device. Tenaris has donated an Automated External Defibrillator (AED) to Soo Pickleball to help protect players in case of sudden cardiac emergencies.

Donation Supports Player Safety

The donation ensures that an AED will be present during all Soo Pickleball activities. This includes regular games as well as larger tournaments that bring in players from the local area and out-of-town.

The AED, designed to quickly restore a normal heart rhythm during sudden cardiac arrest, adds a crucial layer of safety for the growing number of pickleball players and spectators.

Community Partnership

The support from Tenaris was warmly welcomed by the organization. “We are incredibly grateful to Tenaris for recognizing the importance of this initiative and supporting our efforts to foster physical fitness and community engagement in Sault Ste. Marie,” shared Patty Greve, Soo Pickleball Membership.

Why It Matters

As pickleball gains popularity across Canada, safety has become a growing concern, especially for older or recreational players. An AED on-site can be a vital tool in case of emergencies, potentially saving lives during competitive or casual play.

The donation reflects a shared commitment to health, wellness, and community support in Sault Ste. Marie, where pickleball continues to thrive as a fun and active sport for all ages.
