Calgary’s CPC Summer Kickoff 2025 Serves Up Thrilling Outdoor Pickleball Event

Calgary’s CPC Summer Kickoff 2025: The Calgary Pickleball Club will host the CPC Summer Kickoff 2025 for men’s and women’s doubles on Saturday, June 14, 2025. The one-day pickleball event will take place at the Oakridge Community Association, located at 9504 Oakfield Drive SW in Calgary, Alberta. Registration is now closed for the event.

Players will gather for a day of outdoor pickleball on 14 courts, celebrating the start of summer with competitive and fun matches. The event will be open to different age and skill levels, giving both beginners and advanced players a chance to play.

Event Details and Format

The tournament was organized by skill and age divisions. Age groups included 12 to 55+ and 55+. Skill levels were divided into 2.5, 3.0, 3.5, 4.0, and 4.5+.

For players in the 2.5, 3.0, and 3.5 categories, matches followed a round robin format. Each match was played to 15 points and required a two-point win. Players in the 4.0 and 4.5+ skill levels competed in a double elimination format, with games played to 11 points, win by two.

Medals were awarded to the top three teams in every bracket, giving winners a chance to go home with recognition for their efforts.

Weather, Rules, and Registration

In case of rain, Saturday, June 21, 2025, was listed as the backup date. All games followed the current USA Pickleball (USAP) International Rules. The Calgary Pickleball Club confirmed that current members would receive a $10 refund after registration.

All teams were required to complete registration and payment for both partners before their spots were confirmed. If there were any problems or conflicts in the matches, the tournament director had the final say. The director also had the right to change or cancel any events or skill levels if needed.
