Niagara Indoor Pickleball Association Celebrates Rapid Growth and Community Spirit at First AGM

The Niagara Indoor Pickleball Association held its first Annual General Meeting on Saturday, June 7, 2025, at the Club’s gym in Fenwick. Members gathered to reflect on the club’s first eight months, share ideas for future growth, and enjoy a social event afterward.

Club Reviews Milestones and Growth

James Fraser, President of the Niagara Indoor Pickleball Association, expressed pride in hosting the first AGM.

“It was a proud moment to host our first AGM. We welcomed seven new members in just the past week, bringing our total membership after only eight months in operation to 187. It is amazing to look back on what has been accomplished to create the fun pickleball and social club that we have become.”-(James Fraser.)

The meeting included a review of the year-end and current financial records. Members also discussed major achievements since the club opened its doors in October 2024.

The group explored ways to bring in money during the summer, a slower time for indoor play, as most members prefer to play pickleball outdoors during warmer months.

Beginner Clinics Boost Membership

One of the club’s biggest successes has been its Beginner Clinics. These sessions introduced about 90 people to the sport, and nearly 70 percent of them became members.

“Our Beginner Clinics have been a huge success,” said Len Doyle, Director of Player Development. “The demand is continuing to grow as the sport continues to attract more and more people of all ages.”

Each clinic includes two two-hour sessions and costs $25. If participants join the club, that amount goes toward their membership fee.

AGM Ends with Social Gathering

After the meeting, members headed to Sons & Daughters Winery in Fenwick. They finished the day with pizza and wine in a relaxed outdoor setting.
