The small town of Pakenham is getting a big dose of fun this summer with the launch of a brand-new pickleball program at the Stewart Community Centre. Made possible through support from the Ontario Seniors Community Grant, the program kicks off on Tuesday, July 8, 2025, and runs until August 24, bringing accessible, low-cost recreation to locals of all ages.
Pickleball Courts for Everyone
The Stewart Community Centre will be set up with four pickleball courts, giving residents and visitors the chance to play one of Canada’s fastest-growing sports. Whether you’re new to the game or an experienced player, the courts are open to all, with loaner paddles and balls available for free.
Affordable Fun for All Skill Levels
The program is priced to be affordable for everyone: $3 per hour for residents, and $5 for non-residents. All fees are cash only and collected on-site. The initiative is designed to encourage social play and active living, especially among seniors and families.
Weekly Schedule
Pickleball sessions are available during the following times:
Tuesdays and Thursdays: 8–11 AM and 6–9 PM
Sundays: 8 AM–Noon
