SOMX Open Vaudreuil Pickleball Tournament 2025: The SOMX Open Vaudreuil will make its debut on September 20–21, 2025, in Vaudreuil-Dorion, Quebec, bringing together 148 registered players for two days of competitive and festive pickleball. The event will take place at the outdoor pickleball courts near St-Jean Baptiste School, with registration closing on September 17.
Organized by SOMX Pickleball, the tournament is sanctioned by both Pickleball Québec and Pickleball Canada. The goal is to create a high-energy atmosphere that welcomes players of all levels, from beginners to advanced competitors, while promoting the growth of the sport in the region.
Events and Divisions
The competition will include men’s, women’s, and mixed categories. Players will compete in skill levels ranging from beginner (2.5–3.0), intermediate (3.5), to advanced (4.0+). Each participant is guaranteed at least four matches. Most games will be one set to 15 points, win by 2, while medal matches will be best of three games to 11 points.
Certified referees will oversee key matches to ensure fair play. The official tournament ball will be the Franklin X-40, with all players required to use USAP and UPA-A-approved paddles.
Tournament Features
The tournament will feature a festive environment with music, entertainment, food trucks, and a beer station. Parking will be free near the venue. Players and spectators can expect both competitive play and a lively social setting.
Prizes and medals will be awarded to the top finishers in each division. A full event schedule will be sent to players by email after registration.
Refund Policy
Participants who cancel before September 1 will receive a full refund, minus service fees. Cancellations made before September 8 will receive a 50% refund, while no refunds will be given after September 8. Refunds will be processed in the week following the tournament.
