Pickle Point September Showdown 2025: The Pickle Point X LPC September Showdown will take place on September 20–21, 2025, at Pickle Point Centre in Lethbridge, Alberta. This Tier 4 Pickleball Canada-sanctioned tournament will bring players together for doubles and mixed doubles events under USAP international rules. Registration closes on September 16.

Pickle Point Centre is southern Alberta’s first purpose-built indoor pickleball facility, and the tournament marks one of its premier events of the year. All players must be members of Pickleball Canada to participate. Player rankings will follow the Canadian Tournament Play Rating system (CTPR), with DUPR ratings or self-ratings as backups.

Tournament Schedule

On Saturday, September 20, women’s and men’s doubles matches will be played. On Sunday, September 21, mixed doubles will take place. Players are asked to check in at least 45 minutes before their scheduled matches.

Format and Brackets

All brackets will be played in a round-robin format, with the top eight teams from each division advancing to playoffs. From there, the top four teams in each pool will compete for medals. Each team is guaranteed at least four matches.

Playoff rounds include one game to 15 points, win by two. The bronze medal match will also be one game to 15 points, while the gold medal final will be best of three games to 11 points, win by two.

Pickle Point reserves the right to merge or modify brackets if needed, depending on registration numbers.

Entry and Rules

The registration fee is $52.50 CAD per player for the first event and $37.50 for a second event. Each participant will also receive a raffle ticket, with medal winners earning extra entries. Players may only compete in one category per day and must register as teams. If a partner fails to register within four days, the team will be placed on the waitlist.

All players must be at least 13 years old by the end of 2025. Teams are required to compete at the skill level of the highest-rated partner and the age bracket of the younger player.

Additional Information

The tournament will provide game notifications and court assignments by text for those who set up their profiles accordingly. Players who do not arrive on time risk forfeiting matches.

Refund Policy

Refunds requested before September 6, 2025, will be subject to a $15 administration fee. No refunds will be provided after that date.

Significance
