Canada’s Largest Pickleball Center Set to Transform B.C. Sports Scene in 2026

Nest Pickleball Center Grand Opening 2026: A 98,000-square-foot indoor sports facility, called The Nest, is set to open in 2026 and will be the largest indoor pickleball centre in British Columbia. Located next to Tsawwassen Mills Shopping Centre, The Nest will offer coaching, clinics, leagues, and social play for athletes of all levels.

Founding partner Lorne Loiselle said, “We’re honoured to collaborate with Tsawwassen First Nation and Tsawwassen Mills in building a space where the athletic community can thrive. With its state-of-the-art facilities and extensive programming, The Nest will redefine the pickleball and volleyball experience in Canada.”

Facilities and Programs

The Nest will have 14 climate-controlled indoor pickleball courts with professional lighting, 30-foot ceilings, competition-grade nets, and court dividers. Outdoor surface courts will also be available. Coaching, clinics, leagues, and social play will be led by Steve Deakin, coach of the Las Vegas Night Owls of Major League Pickleball.

Steve Deakin said, “Pickleball players are constantly limited by the lack of high-quality courts. The Nest will be a game-changer, providing a safe, well maintained space to play, rain or shine, day or night.”

The facility will also include eight competition volleyball courts and another four courts within the pickleball area for major volleyball events.

Importance for Local Players

David Snell, president of Pickleball B.C. Association, said, “There are new pickleball courts being built across B.C. as they are very much needed. At many of these new pickleball facilities, players at all levels can benefit by developing their skills either for recreational play or more competitive endeavours. High-level players who compete at provincial and Canadian National tournaments can take advantage of these kinds of new facilities.”

The Nest is expected to become a hub for pickleball and volleyball, offering year-round opportunities for local athletes and helping grow the sports across British Columbia.
