Detroit-Windsor Drive Joins CNPL: The Canadian National Pickleball League (CNPL) is excited to announce the addition of a new franchise, the Detroit-Windsor Drive. This expansion into the border region marks a significant step in the league’s growth. Co-owners Brandon Contratto and Larry Ollearis, founders of 20×44 Pickleball, will lead the team.

Meet the Owners

Brandon Contratto is an athlete, coach, and pickleball ambassador. He was a former professional and collegiate hockey player and has transitioned into pickleball. Residing in West Bloomfield, Michigan, Brandon has competed in various prestigious events, including the Professional Pickleball Association (PPA) and Association of Pickleball Professionals (APP). He has also participated in international tournaments in Australia.

With his deep understanding of competitive and business aspects of the sport, Brandon is passionate about coaching and growing pickleball. His leadership will be instrumental for the Detroit-Windsor Drive in the CNPL.

Larry Ollearis brings a wealth of experience as a business leader and pickleball advocate. A lifelong sports enthusiast, Larry co-owns 20×44 Pickleball and is also the owner of All Black Hockey Sticks. He has over 40 years of experience in hockey, focusing on developing significant hockey events and fundraisers across North America.

Residing in Brighton, Michigan, Larry spends his time at hockey rinks and pickleball courts. His expertise in brand-building, operations, and player engagement will be crucial in establishing the Drive as a strong contender in the CNPL.
