CNPL 2025 Central Split Ignites London: Top Teams Clash as Pickleball Fever Sweeps Canada

CNPL 2025 Central Split: The Canadian National Pickleball League will open its 2025 season with the Central Split at Smash Pickleball in London, Ontario. The event runs May 17–18, from 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Eastern Time each day. This marks the start of the league’s third season and features eight teams from across the country.

Top Canadian Talent on Display

Forty-eight of Canada’s top pickleball athletes will compete at this two-day event. Each of the eight teams includes six players, and at least five of them must be Canadian. The teams will battle for better seeding in the playoffs, with this event being the first of four in the 2025 regular season.

Returning to defend their championship title are the Montreal Lions. Other teams participating include the Southwestern Ontario Brewers, Toronto United Pickleball Club, Northern Lights Ontario Pickleball, Detroit-Windsor Drive, Prairie Pronghorns, Vancouver Rush, and the hometown team, London Smash.

A Growing Sport Nationwide

Pickleball has grown quickly across Canada. The Canadian National Pickleball League has helped bring more attention to the sport by giving elite players a place to compete and fans a reason to watch. The CNPL aims to grow pickleball and inspire younger generations to play and follow the sport.

Grounds Pass Info for Spectators

People who are not playing in the event but want to watch the CNPL matches or the Smash Victoria Day amateur event must buy a grounds pass.

Tickets are priced at $5 per day online or $10 per day at the door. Amateur players and CNPL pros do not need a grounds pass and can register at the front desk.
