High-Stakes Roster Moves Shake Up Canadian National Pickleball League Ahead of Playoff Push

Canadian National Pickleball League Roster Changes: The Canadian National Pickleball League closed its transfer deadline last night with several major roster changes. Teams across the league made bold moves to prepare for the second half of the season and the race toward the championship.

Detroit-Windsor Drive

The Detroit-Windsor Drive released Jonas Dähler and signed Mike Rizzo. Rizzo’s reliable doubles play and consistency could give the Drive the boost they need, while Dähler will look for a fresh opportunity with a new team.

Toronto Brewers

The Toronto Brewers were the most active at the deadline. Amanda Rosati was dropped, and Tiffany Au was added for her quick hands and tactical play at the net.

The Brewers also released Eugene Mak, replacing him with Luca D’Amico, a younger player who brings energy and long-term potential. These moves show the Brewers are focused on building both immediate chemistry and future success.

Prairie Pronghorns

The Prairie Pronghorns moved quickly to sign Jonas Dähler after his release from the Drive. His experience and strong shot-making skills may fit well with the team’s style. To make room, Chris Alain was released.

What Comes Next

These transfers were the final chance for teams to adjust rosters before the playoff race heats up. The coming weeks will reveal which teams improved and which risks may backfire. One thing is clear: the battle for the CNPL title just became more unpredictable.
