Gujarat’s players took charge on Day 1 of the 4th IPA Nationals Pickleball 2025, with dominating wins in multiple categories. The tournament, being held at Bennett University’s advanced pickleball facility, saw competitive action from U-14, U-16, and U-18 boys and girls, as well as in the Men’s Open Team Event.

Gujarat Shines in Team Events

The opening day of the pickleball tournament focused primarily on team events. Gujarat’s U-14 and U-16 Boys’ Teams clinched the top spots, displaying exceptional pickleball technique and teamwork.

In the Women’s Open Team Event, Gujarat’s Punji Raval, Punarva Shah, Anshi Sheth, and Rakshika Ravi defeated West Bengal’s Agnimitra Bhattacharya, Amrita Mukherjee, Dipti Srivastava, and Danielle Jones to win the title.

In the Men’s Open Team Event, Rajasthan triumphed over Gujarat, with Aditya Ruhela, Vansh Ruhela, and Divyanshu Kataria playing a key role in their victory. Karnataka earned third place.

Singles Matches Heat Up the Court

In the singles competitions, Gujarat’s success continued. In the U-16 Boys’ Singles, Vishal Nishad outperformed Vivan Patel, securing an 11-10, 11-4 win to claim the title. Dev Shah won the U-18 Singles, defeating Purvansh Patel 11-7, 11-8 in the final.

In the U-14 Boys’ Singles, Aditya Chandrawat won with a hard-fought win over Suyash Bamboriya, 11-6, 11-8. The U-14 Girls’ Singles saw Aarya take home the gold medal, with Dhviya and Dhvija finishing in second and third.
