2025 LawStrings Pickleball Premier League: Smash Squad, owned by Senior Advocate Sonia Mathur, won the first-ever LawStrings Pickleball Premier League – Lawyer’s Edition. The event was held on Sunday at Rackonnect Exclusive Padel Pickle Park (REPPP) in Mehrauli. This eight-team tournament was officially recognized by the Indian Pickleball Association.
Smash Squad, led by Advocate Nachiketa Vajpayee, stayed unbeaten and defeated Legal Pickle, mentored by Advocate Shrey Sharawat, in the final to win the Gold Cup.

Legal Pickle took the Silver Cup, while Net-workers, led by Senior Advocate Haripriya Padmanabhan, earned the Bronze Cup.
A Unique Mix of Law and Sport
The league brought together lawyers from across India to compete in a fun and friendly pickleball tournament. Teams showed off their paddle skills while building teamwork and sportsmanship. Each team was led by a senior legal professional, and the event highlighted the growing interest in pickleball among legal circles.
Lex Saviours, led by Advocate Praveen Kumar, finished fourth. Amicus Aces, under Senior Advocate Guru Krishnakumar, came fifth. Supreme Strikers, led by Senior Advocate Rupesh Kumar, stood sixth. The last two positions were taken by Pickle Pleaders, led by Senior Advocate Dr. S. Muralidhar, and Sood’s Smashers, led by Senior Advocate Vivek Sood.
Looking Ahead to Season Two
This lawyer-only league was started by Shubham Malhotra, the founder of LawStrings Management. His goal was to create a special sports platform for legal professionals. The success of the first season showed how much the sport has grown in popularity among professionals.
