Indian Pickleball Players Aditi Matta and Utkarsh Dubey Steal the Show at 2025 Ace Cup Pickleball Championship

Ace Cup Pickleball Championship in Bhopal: Aditi Matta from Bhopal and Utkarsh Dubey from Indore stood out at the first state-level Ace Cup Pickleball Championship held at the Ace Club in Salaiya, Bhopal. The pickleball event saw over 100 players from across Madhya Pradesh compete in several categories from March 25 to 27, 2025.

The pickleball tournament was organized at the Ace Pickleball Academy at Rajiv Gandhi College, Salaiya. Aditi Matta won two titles and finished runner-up once, while Utkarsh Dubey claimed three titles.

Aditi Matta’s Strong Performance

Aditi Matta teamed up with Shubhi from Dhar to win the Women’s Doubles Open by defeating Divya and Abhiruchi from Indore. She also won the Mixed Doubles Open with Utkarsh Dubey, beating Vaibhav and Abhiruchi from Indore. In Women’s Singles, Aditi finished second to Shubhi Vyas from Dhar.

Utkarsh Dubey’s Triple Victory

Utkarsh Dubey won the Men’s Singles title by defeating Bhavesh Gaur from Bhopal with a score of 15-8. Partnering with Anuj Upreti, he secured the Men’s Doubles Open title against Jai and Parth from Dhar. He also won the Mixed Doubles Open with Aditi Matta.

Other Noteworthy Matches

Rizwan Khan from Indore won the Beginners’ Men’s Singles by beating Anuj Upreti 15-8. Rizwan and Anuj also took the Beginners’ Combined Doubles title against Meet and Ansh from Dhar.

In the 35-plus category, Bhopal’s Vivek and Rohit defeated Karan and Jeetu. The 40-plus category was won by Ashish Matta and Mukesh Soni from Bhopal, who beat Prakash and Sarvesh.

The closing ceremony was attended by Shailendra Bagre, Vice President of the Madhya Pradesh Pickleball Association and President of Bhopal District Pickleball, Joint Secretary Ashish Matta, Vice President Mukesh Soni, Amardeep Singh, and many players.

This championship highlights the growing interest in pickleball across Madhya Pradesh. It provides players a platform to compete and develop skills. The success of players like Aditi Matta and Utkarsh Dubey encourages more participation in the sport locally and statewide.
