Hyderabad’s Sancta Maria Opens Free Pickleball Courts—A Game-Changer for Community Fitness

Sancta Maria Pickleball Court Launch: Sancta Maria International School in Serilingampally, Hyderabad, has launched new pickleball courts in partnership with Gamepoint. The courts were opened on Friday during a special event attended by Chairman B. Arogya Reddy, Principal Hemalatha Sanjay, and members of the school community. The courts will be available to the public outside school hours.

A New Space for Sport and Fitness

The new pickleball courts are part of the school’s plan to support fitness and wellness among students and the local community. The courts will be run by Gamepoint after school hours. They are free to use in the early mornings and evenings, encouraging more people to stay active.

Speaking at the event, B. Arogya Reddy, President and Chairman of Saint Mary’s Educational Society, said, “The new pickleball courts are a fantastic step toward promoting fitness, fun, and community bonding. These pickleball courts along with other world-class sports facilities will be operated by Gamepoint after school hours. Since the courts remain free early mornings and evenings, we wanted to open them up to the public — it’s our way of giving back to the community that continues to support us.”

Gamepoint Brings Pro Coaching and Access

Aditya Reddy, Co-founder and CEO of Gamepoint, shared more about the partnership and how it will benefit both students and the public.

“This is the third school we’ve partnered with to manage sports infrastructure beyond school hours. Sancta Maria International School offers excellent facilities for badminton, volleyball, basketball, football, and cricket. With the addition of pickleball, students now have access to a full spectrum of major sports. Through this collaboration, we will provide professional coaching for both school students and children from outside. The wider community can also access these top-class facilities by booking through the Gamepoint App.”

Aditya Reddy added that pickleball is easy to learn and is growing fast among different age groups, especially working adults.

“Pickleball is a fun and easy sport that doesn’t require prior experience or rigorous training. Anyone who’s played racket sports can pick it up quickly. It’s especially popular among corporate employees looking to unwind and have fun. Unlike competitive games like badminton, where there’s pressure to win, pickleball is more relaxed and inclusive — even if you don’t know how to play well, you’ll still enjoy it. That’s what makes it so appealing and why it’s gaining such rapid popularity across Hyderabad,” he said.

Building a Healthier Community

The school and Gamepoint aim to make the most of these new courts by offering coaching, fun matches, and events. With simple online booking through the Gamepoint App, the courts are easy to access for families, parents, and nearby residents.

By opening the gates to more people, Sancta Maria International School and Gamepoint are helping the community live healthier lives. Their effort to make high-quality sports spaces open to all could inspire more schools and groups to do the same.
