Indian Pickleball Association World Cup Trials: The Indian Pickleball Association (IPA), working under the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, has announced that trials to select India’s team for the Pickleball World Cup 2025 will be held on August 30–31, 2025, in Ahmedabad. The trials aim to choose players for multiple categories, including Under-16, Open, and Seniors 50+.
The Pickleball World Cup 2025 will be India’s first appearance in the event, making it a historic step for the sport in the country. Organised by the Peru-based Cabieses Foundation, the tournament will take place at The FORT Pickleball in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, USA. The venue has 43 courts, including four stadium courts and one grandstand centre court.
IPA’s Role in Indian Pickleball
The IPA is the official governing body for pickleball in India, promoting and organising the sport nationwide. It is affiliated with the Asian Pickleball Association (APA) and the Global Pickleball Federation (GPF). The IPA was recognised as the sport’s National Sports Federation in May 2025.
Categories for Selection
The trials will be open for:
Under-16 boys and girls – rising junior players
Open category – top-ranked male and female players
Seniors 50+ – experienced male and female players
