In a recent meeting in Telangana, ATPA leaders and sports stakeholders discussed plans to expand facilities, train coaches, and create more opportunities for players.
High-Level Meeting
The meeting was chaired by ATPA President Mr. Ramesh, IPS, IG, and co-chaired by Advisor Dr. K. Ram Reddy, Vice President Ms. Sucharita Thakur, Vice President Dr. Raja Rao, and General Secretary Mr. Jagan Mohan Goud.
Local court owners, physical education teachers, coaches, and players also joined the discussion. They came together with the shared goal of strengthening the base of pickleball in Telangana.
Plans for Growth
Key topics included building more courts, certifying referees and coaches in line with Telangana’s Sports Policy, and starting coaching camps to develop young players. The association also discussed holding inter-facility and inter-club tournaments to encourage regular competition.
ATPA leaders stressed the importance of having all pickleball facilities register with the association. They explained that working as a united body would help promote the sport more effectively across the state.
