For Bipin George, the victory felt personal. “Can’t tell you how happy I am because I defeated the same person who defeated me in 50+ men’s singles,” he said.
His partner George C John credited teamwork and experience. “Very happy, it was a great match. And also, Bipin is an experienced person so that helped us win,” he said.
The runners-up were proud of their efforts despite the loss.
“I’m a badminton player. Recently started playing pickleball. Great experience. Hope next year more people turn up for the event,” said John of Matha.
Daniel Davis also reflected positively.
“The game is all of strategy. We lost but not a problem. It was a great match,” he said.
