Monsoon Masters Open 2025 Champions: The Monsoon Masters Open 2025, held at the Isle of Ball in Jammu on September 6–7, brought major wins for Darshan Singh, Ragini Gupta, and Umang Gupta. The tournament crowned new champions in singles and doubles while also highlighting the rise of young talent across Jammu and Kashmir.

Top Champions Emerge

Darshan Singh dominated the Men’s Singles final with an 11-0, 11-6 victory over Rohit Choudhary. In the Women’s Singles, Ragini Gupta overpowered Sanidhya Mahajan 15-2 with sharp net play and control. The Mixed Doubles title went to Umang Gupta and Ragini Gupta, who outplayed Ajay Vaid and Sunanjita Mahajan 11-2, 11-2.

The Men’s Doubles final was a three-set battle. Ramanuj Mahajan and Anurag Singh bounced back from a first-game loss to defeat Darshan Singh and Deepanshu D 8-11, 11-7, 11-3.

Junior and Senior Performances

Young players showed great skill on Day 1. Parth Bamba swept past Nikhal Deep Singh 11-0, 11-1 in the U-18 Boys’ Singles. Madhavendra Singh took the U-16 crown by beating Mandar 11-4, 11-5. In U-14, Aditya Dutt Sharma made a comeback to win 6-11, 11-6, 11-4 against Harikesh Sharma.

Senior categories also delivered drama. Aman Sharma won the 30+ Men’s Singles by edging past Taresh Baru 11-4, 12-10. In 40+, Indu Bhushan beat Sumit Sharma 11-5, 11-6 with steady play. In doubles, Pankaj Singh and Aman Sharma combined to defeat Aayush Pangotra and Anurag Singh 15-7 in the 30+ Men’s Doubles final.

The Monsoon Masters Open was part of the Indian Pickleball Association’s competitive calendar. It included both a PWR 50 ranking event and a JKSPR 500 tournament, giving players a chance to earn ranking points while also promoting pickleball locally.

The tournament showcased the growing passion for pickleball in Jammu and Kashmir. With packed stands, intense matches, and talent across all age groups, the event proved that the region is becoming an important part of India’s pickleball map.
