Jammu National Championship: The Jammu and Kashmir Amateur Pickleball Association (JKAPA) announced that Jammu will host the All India Pickleball Association (AIPA) 9th National Championship from September 26 to 28. This will be the largest pickleball tournament ever held in the region, bringing together top players from across India.

The event will highlight the fast growth of pickleball in India and strengthen the sports culture in Jammu and Kashmir.
“We are proud and excited to welcome the nation’s finest athletes to Jammu. This is not just a tournament—it is a celebration of sportsmanship and unity,” (JKAPA spokesperson).
Since 2013, the All India Pickleball Association has organized national championships in different cities, building momentum for the sport and creating a strong legacy.
Addressing Legal and Governance Matters
Speaking about the current dispute between the All India Pickleball Association and another group, the Jammu and Kashmir Amateur Pickleball Association clarified that the matter is still in court.
“Our priority is to ensure a smooth, professional, and competitive Nationals in Jammu. We urge all players to stay focused on their game and let the court handle legal matters,” the spokesperson added.
The association also welcomed the proposed National Sports Governance Bill. While its implementation may take six months, JKAPA noted that the law could bring major changes in how sports are managed in India.
