Gravate Sports, co-founded by RJ Anmol and Puneet Goyal, will host India’s first CXO Pickleball League on September 27, 2025, at Taj Lands End in Mumbai. The event will bring together top corporate leaders for a day of fitness, networking, and competitive pickleball, highlighted by Olympic medalist Saina Nehwal’s special appearance.
A New Sporting Experience for Corporate Leaders
The league is designed to connect business executives from industries such as finance, fintech, technology, media, lifestyle, and consumer brands. Each company can nominate a team of up to three members, including at least one senior leader. Before the tournament, participants received training from AIPA-certified coaches in flexible pickleball clinics to sharpen their skills.
The winners will receive a rare chance to meet Saina Nehwal, who will also play an exhibition match against well-known business leader Dr. Niranjan Hiranandani during the event. The games will take place on the exclusive sea-facing courts of Taj Lands End, adding a premium setting to this one-of-a-kind competition.
Pickleball’s Growing Appeal in India
Pickleball is one of the fastest-growing sports worldwide, and India is quickly catching up. Experts expect the country’s pickleball market to grow from ₹500 crore in 2027 to ₹1,500 crore by 2031. The sport is easy to learn, gentle on the body, and ideal for busy executives seeking both recreation and networking opportunities. Many compare it to golf for business connections but find it easier and more accessible.
Voices from the Event
Saina Nehwal shared her excitement, saying, “It’s nice to see sports becoming an integral part of corporate life. Pickleball is a great way for people to stay active and connected. I’m excited to be part of this unique initiative and to encourage more professionals to embrace a healthier, sport-driven lifestyle.”
RJ Anmol explained the vision of the league, stating, “Gravate Sports is about creating premium sporting experiences that bring leaders together beyond boardrooms. Pickleball is perfectly suited for India’s CXOs, it promotes wellness, camaraderie, and strategic networking. With Saina Nehwal joining us for the launch, we are not just celebrating sport but also setting the tone for a larger corporate sports culture in India.”
Beyond the Matches
The day will end with a curated sundowner and gourmet dinner, giving CXOs and participants time to relax and network in a high-quality social setting. This combination of sport and socializing aims to inspire a stronger sports culture in India’s corporate world.
Future Impact
With this launch, Gravate Sports hopes to create more corporate sports leagues across India. The CXO Pickleball League shows how sports like pickleball can help professionals stay active while building business relationships, setting the stage for a new era of executive wellness and networking.
