Semifinal Battle
Kataria reflected on the match, saying,
“We had a strategy, and Amol and Miika played really well. Congratulations to them on winning the bronze medal. I’m super happy to be in the finals. My partner played incredibly well. She was very solid. I was just trying to put balls and support her.”
Pearl Amalsadiwala added,
“Yeah, we had a really solid match. It was a very long one. We were not able to convert at first, but eventually we did. Congratulations to Amol and Miika for the bronze.”

Strong Competition
Kataria praised the balanced level of competition.
“All of us are almost on the same level and it can be anyone’s match,”(Divyanshu Kataria).
He also noted the familiarity of opponents in the final:
“We are all in the same team, Global Sports. So we know each other’s games. Let’s hope for the gold tomorrow.”
Tournament Experience and Growth
On the Chennai venue, Kataria said,
“The venue is amazing. The courts are also very good. They even had a music concert for us. It’s really well organised by PWR and I look forward to tomorrow.”
He also reflected on pickleball’s growth:
“It’s just incredible how pickleball is growing in metro cities. I’m super excited.”
