Saina Nehwal CXO Pickleball League: Olympian shuttler Saina Nehwal took part in a friendly match at India’s first-ever CXO Pickleball League on Saturday at Taj Lands End in Mumbai. The event was organised by Gravate Sports (grv8), co-founded by RJ Anmol and Puneet Goyal, and brought together business leaders and sports personalities for a day of fun and competition.

Saina Nehwal teamed up with business leader Niranjan Hiranandani for a friendly match. In a playful moment, Hiranandani received an autographed racket from the Olympian. The day featured 16 teams and 31 matches, with several CXOs taking to the court in high spirits.
Pickleball’s Rising Popularity
Speaking about the sport’s growth, Saina Nehwal said,
“I’m hearing that pickleball might be included in the Olympics in the coming years, and I won’t be surprised if that happens. I see a lot of people playing it as a source of entertainment.”
She also advised caution:
“I would just say that one should play the sport carefully and with proper guidance, as I’ve seen many regular players suffer injuries.”
Corporate Engagement and Training
The CXO Pickleball League allows corporates from industries like finance, fintech, technology, media, lifestyle, and consumer brands to nominate teams of up to three members, including at least one senior leader. Participants trained with AIPA-certified coaches through flexible pickleball clinics before competing on the sea-facing courts of Taj Lands End.
Networking and Rewards
Winners of the tournament will get a chance to meet Olympic medallist Saina Nehwal. The event will conclude with a curated sundowner and gourmet dining experience, providing networking opportunities for participating CXOs. Gravate Sports aims to build a new category of corporate sports leagues in India, combining fitness, fun, and professional growth.
