Naperville Launches New Pickleball Leagues: Pickleball enthusiasts can now register for the Naperville Park District’s new adult leagues. These skill-leveled leagues are designed for players who know the basic rules and are looking for a fun, social, and competitive experience.
League Details
The park district is offering three leagues, tailored to different skill levels: Advanced Beginner, Intermediate, and Advanced. Matches will take place at the Fort Hill Activity Center, located at 20 Fort Hill Drive, in a round-robin format over eight weeks, with pre-assigned rotations.
The winter session begins on Tuesday, January 21, and runs until Tuesday, March 18. Scores for each match will be recorded weekly and submitted to staff at Fort Hill.
Growing Popularity of Pickleball
As pickleball continues to grow in popularity, the Naperville Park District is expanding its offerings. The district provides 50 outdoor pickleball courts, including those with pickleball lines on tennis courts. Indoor pickleball is also available during open gyms at the Fort Hill Activity Center.
The park district also offers programs for newcomers, teaching the basics of the sport, including strategy and rules.
