Seattle’s Pickleball Scene Expands with New Pickleball Facility at Former Theo Chocolate Factory

Seattle’s Pickleball Scene Expands: The former Theo Chocolate factory in Fremont will soon be converted into a pickleball facility by The Picklr, a national franchise. The 26,500-square-foot warehouse at 124 N. 35th St. will provide space for pickleball leagues, clinics, and open play. This will be the second such facility in the Seattle area.

About The Picklr

The Picklr, a franchise with locations in 24 states, is expanding rapidly. They have plans to open 11 new facilities in Washington alone.

The new site in Fremont will offer a variety of services, including competitive leagues, clinics for kids and adults, and open play times. Drew Brees, former New Orleans Saints quarterback, is an investor and franchise owner of The Picklr.

A Growing Trend in Seattle

The Fremont location will be the second pickleball facility in the area. Another facility, Pickle at the Palms, is being planned in Interbay at 3435 15th Ave W.

Both locations reflect the growing popularity of pickleball across the country, especially in the Pacific Northwest.

Plans for the Future

Although the Picklr’s Fremont location is expected to bring excitement to pickleball enthusiasts, no official timeline for the opening has been announced.

The transition of the former Theo Chocolate factory into a vibrant sports hub will contribute to the increasing number of facilities catering to this fast-growing sport.

Community Impact

The addition of a large-scale indoor pickleball facility is expected to boost local interest in the sport and provide more opportunities for residents to get active.

With a focus on all ages and skill levels, The Picklr will help further establish pickleball as a central recreational activity in the area.
