Norris Invitational Tournament 2025: The 2025 Norris Invitational Tournament (NIT) will take place from March 3-5, 2025, at the Cottonwood Pickleball Courts in Sun Lakes, Arizona. Organized by the Sun Lakes Pickleball Club Cottonwood (SLPCC), this tournament offers players an exciting opportunity to compete in various skill levels and age brackets.
Event Details
Registration opens on January 18, 2025, at 12:00 AZST, and closes on February 28, 2025, at 11:55 AZST. The cost is for the first event, with an additional $10 for a second event. Participants must register and pay in full by the deadline. Players will compete in a fun Round Robin format, followed by playoffs for Gold, Silver, and Bronze for skill levels 2.5, 3.0, and 3.5.
Tournament Format
The tournament includes different events:
- Monday (March 3) – Women’s Doubles
- Tuesday (March 4) – Mixed Doubles
- Wednesday (March 5) – Men’s Doubles
Players will self-rate, with the Tournament Director having the authority to correct any underrating. All skill levels 4.0 and above will participate in a blind draw with rotating partners. Matches are win by two, and formats will adjust based on the number of teams.
Additional Information
Participants must register within 14 days with a partner; otherwise, they will be placed on a waitlist. Age divisions will be finalized after registration closes. The tournament may close early if the maximum daily participant limit is reached.
Refund Policy
Withdrawals before February 17 may receive up to a 50% refund, minus a $10 administrative fee. Weather-related cancellations will also provide up to a 50% refund.
