The 2025 Life Time Gaithersburg Winter Classic will take place from February 6-9, 2025, at Life Time Gaithersburg in Gaithersburg, Maryland. The tournament will offer a mix of singles, doubles, and mixed doubles events for players of all skill levels. Event Overview
This pickleball event is open to Life Time members and non-members, with entry fees set at $60 for members and $80 for non-members. The cost for each additional event is $40.
The event will follow a round-robin format, with single-elimination playoffs. Each match in the round-robin will be played to 11 points, win by 1, and the playoff matches will be played to 11 points, win by 2. Medal matches will be played as best 2 out of 3 games, also to 11 points, win by 2.
The event will kick off on February 6 with mixed doubles for the 4.0-4.5 skill division, followed by a packed schedule of singles and doubles events through February 9. The final day will feature Men’s Doubles for the 4.0-4.5 skill division.
Registration Details
Participants must register by January 31, 2025. An additional $10 fee will be applied to registrations made after January 23, 2025. Each division is limited to the first 8 teams to register.
A waitlist is available in case of cancellations. All players must have a dupr/”>dupr/”>dupr/”>DUPR (Dynamic Universal Pickleball Rating) account by the registration deadline to participate. Teams may be moved to a higher skill division if their DUPR exceeds the division’s requirements.
Equipment Guidelines
Participants are required to use USAPA and UPA-A approved paddles. Paddles that are found to be “delaminated” or “core crushed” during check-in will not be allowed in the tournament for safety reasons.
Additional Information
The tournament will provide free parking for participants and spectators. Life Time will not be held responsible for injuries that occur during the event, and aggressive behavior will not be tolerated.
