Beginner Pickleball Workshops: Seniors in Maple Ridge will have a chance to learn pickleball at beginner-friendly workshops on Saturday, April 12. Hosted by Elevate Pickleball, the sessions will take place at the Ridge Meadows Seniors Society’s Maple Ridge Seniors Activity Centre. Expert instructors will guide participants through the basics of the sport, making it easy for newcomers to get started.

Learning the Basics of Pickleball

Pickleball is a fast-paced game that blends elements of tennis and ping pong. It is played with a paddle and a hollow plastic ball on a small court, making it a great option for all ages. The workshops are designed for those who have played fewer than 20 games and will cover key skills such as serving, returning serves, scoring, court positioning, and strategy.

Workshop Details and Registration

Each workshop lasts one hour and is scheduled for 10:30 a.m., 11:45 a.m., 1 p.m., and 2:15 p.m. Equipment will be provided, and each session will have six to twelve participants. The cost is $20 per person.
