Pickleball 706 to Open North Georgia’s First Indoor Facility in Calhoun

Pickleball 706 :A newly vacated retail space in Calhoun will soon be transformed into North Georgia’s first indoor pickleball facility. Pickleball 706 has announced plans to open an eight-court venue at the former Bargain Hunt location on WC Bryant Parkway, with a tentative opening date of May 1.

New Sports Facility to Replace Bargain Hunt

In early February, the Calhoun Bargain Hunt began closing due to financial difficulties faced by its parent company. The store completed its liquidation earlier this month, leaving behind one of the largest retail spaces in the Calhoun Crossing shopping center.

Pickleball 706 has confirmed it will turn the space into an indoor sports venue featuring eight pickleball courts, a pro shop, ball machine, ping pong and foosball tables, and a drink pad. The facility will also provide coaching from certified Professional Pickleball Registry staff and offer a full range of clinics.

Growing Popularity of Pickleball in Calhoun

Pickleball has been growing rapidly in Calhoun, with the city recently adding outdoor courts at the Mauldin Road complex. The Recreation Department has also introduced indoor clinics and classes to meet the increasing demand for the sport.

The arrival of Pickleball 706 is expected to further boost interest in the game, providing a year-round indoor option for players of all skill levels.
