The 2nd Annual Pickle Palooza for MS is set for June 8, 2025, at the Issaquah Community Center in Issaquah, Washington. Managed by Pickleball Is Great (PIG), the event supports MS I’mpossible’s mission to aid young adults living with Multiple Sclerosis (MS).
The tournament features a fun round-robin format, offering ample playtime. Teams are gender-neutral, and skill levels are divided into two categories: Recreational Play (2.5/3.0) for beginners and Intermediate/Advanced Play (3.5 and above) for experienced players. Brackets may be adjusted based on registration numbers to ensure balanced competition.
Registration and Fees
Registration opens on March 28, 2025, and closes on May 31, 2025, at 11:45 PM PST. The entry fee is $65 per player until April 30, increasing to $75 on May 1. Players must register and pay within seven days to avoid being moved to the waitlist.
Tournament Format and Ratings
DUPR ratings serve as a guideline, but players will also be assessed using their previous tournament rating (PBR). Self-ratings must be updated before registration, and players may only compete up to 0.5 levels above their rating. Tournament officials reserve the right to adjust player placement based on competition history.
Unlike some events, DUPR scores from this tournament will not be reported. Teams will be assigned to brackets based on the youngest partner’s age and the strongest player’s skill level.
Indoor Venue and Gameplay
All matches will take place indoors on a hardwood gym floor at the Issaquah Community Center. The event is designed to be an enjoyable and competitive experience, with participants encouraged to play fairly and make the most of their time on the court.
Refund and Cancellation Policy
Withdrawals are subject to a $10 administrative fee. No refunds will be issued after registration closes. In the event of a cancellation due to unforeseen circumstances, players may receive up to a 50% refund.
